Directions
Hareesa is a traditional Pakistani dish that is loved by many.
This hearty stew is made with meat, wheat, and lentils and is typically served with rice or naan bread. It’s perfect for cold winter nights or any time you need warmth and nourishment.
Hareesa has been a staple in Pakistani cuisine for centuries and is often served during special occasions and celebrations. It’s a dish that brings people together and is a symbol of unity and community. Hareesa is also enjoyed in other parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East and South Asia.
To make Hareesa, brown the meat in a large pot, then add in the wheat and lentils, along with a variety of spices and seasonings. Let it simmer for a few hours until the wheat and lentils are tender and the flavors have melded together. Serve with rice or naan bread, garnish with fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon juice. This recipe is passed down through generations in my family and is a true reflection of traditional Pakistani cuisine. Give it a try and let me know how it turns out for you!
