Now that I am a mother; I can say that the love I have for this low-calorie, guilt-free dessert recipe hasn’t faded away.
It reminds me of my grandmother and her cooking in the kitchen.

Let’s start by cutting the plums in halves and removing their stores. |

Next, put them in a wide saucepan with apple juice. Heat the pan until it comes to boil, then cover it with a lid and let it gently simmer until the plums become really tender. |

Take a small bowl and add the egg whites to it. Whisk them until they hold soft peaks. Now gradually add concentrated apple juice and continue whisking. |

Now, use a tablespoon to scoop the meringue mixture into the gently simmering plum sauce. Cover the pan again with a lid and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the meringues are set. |

Your Floating Islands in Hot Plum Sauce is ready to be served! You should sprinkle it with a little bit of freshly grated nutmeg and serve it immediately! |
